Why do people who want tattoos get flash?

Why do you want a picture that a million other people could have on you rbody. Flash is there for ideas...not to have a picture that anyone any where could get. Tatoos are unique and personal. I do not understand why people just pic a photo off the wall. It's like they put no thought into their artwork! I have six- mine are all custom. I never do FLASH!!!! Flash is the pre-drawn stuff onthe walls in the shop! to ladyoh - my body is marred any more than one who pierces ears and such, dyes hair and wears makeup or has scars from surgery. it is an expression of self. to blackcorgi - you should get tatooed when your druck. it causes your blood not clot properly and color runs out. Also, mine weren't a few extra bucks. I have almost $2k in art work on my person for 6 tats--. All custom drawn for me!!

1. All my ink is custom as well, with the exception of some nautical stars added-on...flash is boring, trite, and entirely unimaginative. I mean, the artist who did it originally may be very imaginative, but pointing to a piece of tribal or some lame flower & saying, "Oh that's COOL!" is lame, but not as lame as, "So-and-so has that tattoo! I want to get it!" I mean come on, how many people have to get that retarded barbed wire around their bicep before they realize that they're just a bunch of sheep?

3. My first tat was flash, because I was young and stupid and didn't know any better. The other 2 (and a 3rd in the works) are all custom work. I got the footprints from my daughter's birth certificate on my shoulder blade - LOVED IT

5. Not everyone is artistic. Alot of us are artistically challenged.
6. I think tattoos are a multilation of one's body. Skin is not a canvas. Skin is a body organ and you have to take care of it for the sake of your health. Tattoos may seem cool when your skin is young and supple but when you get old and your skin is loose and wrinkly is just makes a person look like a pathetic old bum. If you want to create something unique and personal why not create something yourself and display it. Some people draw or paint, others do scupture, some build bridges or houses. THAT's creativity. Any drunk with a few extra dollars can get a tattoo.

8. Well, I don't have nor will I ever have a tat, but I can appreciate good body art. It never occurred to me that some folks just aren't creative. IF (and that is a BIG 'if') I were to go under the needle, it would be something original. Why go through all that pain just to get a generic tat? Heck - you might as well have "Pepsi" tattooed on your body!
