Paid Vs Free Tattoo Design Galleries
At Free Tattoo Designs we’re all about sharing the best free tattoo sites on the net but every month we keep getting asked about the various paid tattoo galleries (e.g. Tattoodles, Tattoo Johnny etc). The questions are always the same, are these sites any good ? are the tattoo designs of a higher quality ? are the sites in question scams ? We get other questions but these are the most common.
This article will hopefully clarify a few misconceptions and also give you a better idea of how to go about finding your perfect tattoo, because at the end of the day Free or Paid our final goal is to find that killer tattoo and that’s what matters. So read on and we’ll try to answer the above questions as best we can.
Are paid tattoo sites better ?
In most cases yes, but that’s not how you should be looking at the situation. Your goal is to find a suitable tattoo and depending on how experienced you are you may well find it on one of the many free sites. If this is the case then you’re a winner and the free tattoo sites have been perfect for you.
On the other hand, if you’re looking for something special or simply cannot decide which tattoo you want then using the paid tattoo galleries can be a huge relief. No one wants to be searching for ever, eventually you want to needle that art onto your body and the paid design galleries offer a number of advantages in that respect.

We personally have memberships to most of the top tattoo design galleries but at the same time don’t stop using the free sites. The main point to be made here is that both are useful and both have their merits, if you have the money make use of both.
Are paid tattoo sites scams ?
Beleive it or not we actually get asked this question quite often and ultimately our response is simple. Anything on the internet can be a scam but if you do your research and read the reviews you’ll know that there are a handful of sites that are highly recommended and have been in business for quite a few years. So paid or free which one ?
At the end of the day both types of sites have value, we like the free sites because they cost you nothing and even if you don’t find the tattoo you’re after they’re still a great way to brainstorm and come up with ideas. The paid sites simply offer you another avenue through which you can explore and hopefully lock down that ever elusive tattoo design.
Our final words are simple, if you can afford the paid sites use them, because in most cases you’ll come out with a better tattoo and most probably stick with it a whole while longer than if you just explored the free tattoo sites.
